The Sigel Insurance Group was founded in 1930 by Louis P. Sigel, Sr. The third and forth generations are currently active in the business - Eric C. Sigel, CPCU, CSA as President and Teresa Sigel Glass, CIC, CISR, CPIA as Corporate Secretary.
Our commitment has always been to place our clients needs first. This philosophy is drawn from the CPCU pledge: “I shall strive to ascertain and understand the needs of others and place their interests above my own, and shall strive to maintain and uphold a standard of honor and integrity that will reflect credit on my profession and”.
A prime example of placing our clients needs first involves one of our larger insured healthcare accounts to whom we suggested self insurance - instead of purchasing insurance. We performed a feasibility study and applied to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for permission to self insure for Professional Liability and Workers’ Compensation. On a consulting basis, we manage its Risk Management and Self Insurance program realizing savings of over $2,000,000 in net insurance premiums since 2003. Even though our income dropped dramatically, it was the right thing to do for our client and we would not hesitate to offer the same advise to any other client if it made sense for them.

Graduated with a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1973. He earned his CPCU designation in 1977, his CSA designation in 2003 and participated in several national insurance industry organizations and conventions as moderator and panelist. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Valley Forge CPCU Chapter and also as one of Sigel's representatives to the Tri-County and Perkiomen Valley Chambers of Commerce.

Lisa has been with Sigel Insurance Group for 11 years. She acquired her Property and Casualty Agent License in 1999 and her Life and Health license in 2000. Lisa has since acquired several designations through continuing education. She is currently working in our Personal Lines Department.

Kevin practiced law in the Philadelphia region for 15 years prior to joining the Sigel Insurance Group, with concentrations in corporate, real estate and employment law. He is a graduate of Penn State - the Dickinson School of Law and Villanova University (BSBA in Finance). Kevin is also an alumnus of Deloitte & Touche's Audit and Enterprise Risk Services Group.

Amy has been with Sigel Insurance Group for 24 years. She acquired her Property and Casualty Agent License in 1995 and has held several positions within our organization. Amy is an Administrative Assistant and also handles our Licensing and Continuing Education Department.
